Why do so many marketers ‘Fear’ the creation of their sales pages? Could it be because they don’t know enough about what they’re selling? Or is it more because they just don’t know how to word it in a way that will ‘Make People Want To Jump For Their Wallets and Buy Now”?
At the end of the day you have to “Sell The Sizzle, Not The Steak.” You have to be descriptive and captivate your audience.. paint the picture of how they will BENEFIT from this purchase. Remove the fear of making a bad decision by using impulse factors.
When you have an online business you do not have the perks of selling your product in person. Therefore, your words are very important; they make or break a sale. Writing a sales letter means getting into the minds of your readers. You should know who your customer base is, what age group, gender, etc. You need to use psychology and tactics that will draw your readers to buy immediately. BasicallyÖ do your research.
Your sales copy should be captivating so that your customer is interested in reading through it, however long it is. Some sales letters are twenty pages long, but still keep the readers attention the entire time. The sales letter needs to fully describe the problem the customer may be having and why your product is the only solution.
When you are writing your sales letter, you need to make sure your readers trust you and that your product is absolutely the best. Your sales letter should describe your product in detail so that the reader understands completely what is being sold. Some people add a claim that includes a number. For instance, you may want to mention how much money someone made after reading your product that gives away all the secrets to making millions.
The sales letter should make the reader feel that there is a sense of urgency, that they must take action and purchase the product now. There may be a few slots remaining or eBooks left to sell, or there may be a certain time where the product will not be for sale anymore. Testimonials from excited customers whose lives have been changed will only guarantee sales.
You want your order form to be visible and the price should have a strike mark through it indicating that there was a price reduction. Bonuses also entice the customer to purchase your product. All these techniques make an excellent sales copy with a lot of hours of tweaking the writing so it sounds perfect.
The first key to creating a “Kick Ass Sales Page” is the graphics… Pay close attention here… “No matter what ANYONE tells you, Graphics are KEY!” Before your prospects even read one word of your text they are all ready coming to subconscious conclusions about your product based soley on what they ‘SEE’. This is why you have to make those graphics ‘POP’!
The second thing you have to worry about is the Headline. Does it ‘Engage’ the reader? Is it a challenging line of text that builds curiosity and makes them want to continue reading? If not.. REWRITE IT!
The third thing to consider is the body of your sales page. Does it build impulse? Is it ‘guiding’ the prospect through the 5 steps of a sale? Lay things out in an organized fashion. Predict the readers questions and answer them in your text. Keep in mind.. a “Kick Ass Sales Page” is not just a list of product features with a price tag and purchase button at the bottom!
Finally… did you sweeten the deal? Hav you made it worth my while? By the time I read all that text I better be blown away by the price! If not … then you better kick it into overdrive with the VALUE and BENEFITS after you ask me for money! Why should I give you my hard earned cash anyway? Especially with what fuel is going for these days!
Ohh… and one more thing, probably the most important thing of all. Are you ‘Rehashing’? Did you give me a reason to opt in to your list? Did you offer me an alternative product in case this one scared me off?
