There are times when you want to add a banner or image to your website to add some visual appeal and in general, to make the page interesting. This is actually very easy to do.
In this article, I will show you 2 different ways to add a banner/image:
- When you have the code, for example, from an affiliate product
- When you have an image you want on your computer
First, you need to login to your WordPress site and navigate to the page/post you want to add the image on:
For this article, we will choose Post-Add New. Next, you will see:
Simply start editing your post and add text until you want to add your image:
For this 1st example, we will show inserting the image when we have the code:
We will copy the code below the image in this example by highlighting the entire code and right click and select copy OR press Control – C on a PC or Command – C on a Mac.
Next, we go to the post and I like to put XXX in the spot where I want the image to go:
Next, click Text which is next to Visual:
Simply find the placeholder XXX you entered and highlight it:
Now, Right Click and Paste the code you copied or press Control – V on a PC or Command – V on Mac to paste the code in:
Now, you simply Publish the post and the the image will be in place:
OK, now, let’s look at adding an image when you have the graphic on your computer. Everything is the same until you get to where you want the image added:
Choose Post-Add New. Next, you will see:
Simply start editing your post and add text until you want to add your image:
Next, press Add Media:
Now, press Upload Files:
Click Select File and navigate to the file you want to upload. This will upload the image to your site. Now, press Insert Into Post:
This places the image into place in your post/page:
Next, click Publish and you are done!
See, adding a banner to your site is no longer a challenge.
