29FebK.I.S.S. your customers
Keep It Short & Sweet or as I like to say Keep It Simple Stupid! Wether you are writing an Ebay auction page, an Internet sales page or talking to a prospect, BE CONCISE! People often feel that they have to say everything about their product in order to get the prospect to buy and that couldn’t be further from the truth. The fact is that you have about 6 seconds to grab the prospects attention and about 3 minutes total to earn their business. This is why we use the Bullets. Know the difference between what is a Feature of your product and what is a Benefit. Always dedicate more time to the benefits. Customers want to know that they will benefit from this product more than they want to be impressed with all the cool and unique features of your product. Don’t get me wrong… both are very important. But benefits come first. Feel out the customer, read them, ask probing questions if possible. Most importantly LISTEN & Predict their EXACT needs and then describe the specific FEATURE that they will BENEFIT from. Try to point out no more than 2 or 3 bullets for each. KEEP IT SHORT & SWEET. Talking too much about a product is called overselling and it can be very detrimental to your sales success. No one likes a blabber mouth. That being said, I’ll end this post.
To your success,
Omar
